Emma and Delboy trip - part 2/2

DAY 2 OF CAMPING TRIP

While we were driving we spotted a sign that said something about an ancient site of some sorts so we hit the brakes and went up and had a look...

Emma's best Sthid the Sthloth (Ice Age) impression...

Big sis towers over little sis.

Back into the car and another unscheduled stop - this time a stunning cove where I chanced tippin the toe in, but wasn't so keen to swim again.

But then we put it behind us...

and we hit the road again, only to get caught in a real-life Irish traffic jam...

We also saw a leprachaun when we went past a lil festival of some sorts

.... and caught it on film

but i think Emz and Delboy missed it cos they were vas aan die slaap in the back. Great company guys. Thanks for the great conversaytion. I can't really blame them, Cath was probably playing that bloody Enya crap again - it's a wonder I didn't fall asleep!



But then Alan had a need...

THE NEED...

FOR TEA

(and cake for Catherine)

So we stopped off at a cute lil roadside coffee shop for some tea, cake (and a cupcake for Delboy) and some BLUE STEEL BABY!!!

On our way through Killarney a bit later we then stopped off for a picnic lunch outside Ross castle...

... giving me a chance to feed the swans and swan chickies.

A bit of sisterly love and some sisterly madness...


.... and we were back in the car on our way back to Cork.

All this driving around was making Emma tired again... in fact, she was

'TIRED, TIRED, TIRED she wanted to go home....'

(That's a private joke that is)

One last stop though... Delboy and I had drunk too much tea... a quick pit stop on the side of the highway, kindly captured by Cath... if that look on my face doesn't say relief, what does?

And we were home again.

And just like that, another Emma visit had come to an end. Oh don't worry... she'll be back. She can't stay away for long... we feed her well here, she has a bed about twice the size of her own bed in Stonehouse and there's always the chance that I'll lend her more money... fat chance Emz - not making THAT mistake again!
