The Journey - a church thingy-majig

Our church in Plumstead did this whole 'get people together to grown spiritually - as individuals and as a community.

We had this massive workshop - with over 100 people and about 12 table facilitators - I was one - and we got tons of ideas to help our parish. All in all it was quite cool, although I'm glad the preparation meetings are over.

These were the table leaders:

NOTE:

Because we're staying with my folks until our house comes through in March... and there's no internet.I can't even upload [pics at work cos there are no disk drives or USB points on any of the computers here to prevent viruses getting into the newspaper technology.
The lack of internet is also why I haven't been on facebook for anyone who has been sending me loveletters there.

Will make a plan when I can.

Kistenbosch picnic

Picnic at Kirstenbosch Gardens.

A few of us went for a picnic on Argus Cycle Tour day, it wasn't very busy - all the fools were on their bikes still. :)

Emma's feeling a bit miz still - courtesy of her teething - but still had a smile for a photo or two.

The group, minus Bianca:

Bianca emailed me these pics.

Emma at Daniel's place

Little Emma went for a swim at her friend Daniel's place.
Mommy Kate sent us some photies.

The reason I put these up is that they were emailed to me (so I could). I don't have internet access at home so I can't upload my photos - for now. Be prepared for the landslide of three months worth of pics when I do.

A touch of January #3

Bathtime - little Emz in her hooded towel.
She's actually in the process of dropping her plastic submarine - which she loves!!!

Bren thought seeing as Emma was trying to fish toys out of the toybox, she'd be more comfy IN the box.
And she was.

Another voyage of discovery... and dad (looking after Emma) takes a nap in the background.

Sleep pattern - the three phases of waking up:

Phase 1 - still out

Phase 2 - sitting up, holding on, starting to whine.

Phase 3 - mom's here to pick me up... YAY!!!!

Happy birthday Ian - drinks at Forries.

The Cape Town Christmas lights, still up in the end of January, with a touch of footie fever thrown in for good measure!

A touch of January #2

This will be another bits n pieces post as I just need to explain the photos really.

These are some of my church Youth Club - this is what I deal with on Sundays. We started off with about 15 but have built up and now have about 20-25.

They're wearing my Celtic tops that I've been collecting overseas at charity shops. I brought them back with me to kit out the youth club soccer side. But I'm a few short of 11, so I'm going to email Celtic and ask for a few more.

Little Emma in a cute dress, eating dried melon.

Little Louis on the potty and the toilet. He's so proud when he does the deed on the big people's throne.

Luois tries a bit of incest with his cousin but Emma is more interested in the doll.

These two are so cute when they play together...

Trying out our backpack. We've used it another time as well, walking the dogs in Tokai forrest near our new house. But this was just around the block a few times to test it.

Sometimes Emma wants to be awake, but dad still wants to sleep.

Emma and Emma (at Granny's house). She loves her godmother.

A touch of January #1

A few random photies from January... no real story behind them just giving you an update.

We thought little Emma looked very funny peering over the side of her cot at us... and she thought she was funny too!

When I have time, I'm going to photoshop the words 'play-baby' or something onto the cover of that mag, cos her face looks so guilty, like she's been caught red-handed!

---------------------------------------------

Cath went on a sunset cruise around the bay. I was left to work - someone has to!
She joined Emma Snr, Stef and Delboy for the cruise...

From what I hear, it was stunning... but a smidgen rocky.

... which resulted in more than a few people depositing their lunch over the side of the boat.

They had a good time though, and even came across these seals and penguins.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
What with all the moving house, etc, we had to move the dogs too - quite a stress to get everything organised. Roxy had to stay at my parents'place for a while until we sorted something out. so after a quick ride in the car, she was put into the back garden. But she wanted to socialise so this is her trying to come in via the dog flap. That hole is too small Roxy!

--------------------------------------------------

Below, I proudly got Emma to fall asleep in my arms while rocking her in the kitchen. While talking to mom and Cath. She's so bloody cute!

And here she is in the bath... destroying things again!

Happy with granny.

Eating fruit via her fruit net (anti-choking device)

YAY! Aunty Carly came to play.

And Oh boy, my favourite... supper time in the bumbo seat!

Ha ha all fun and games until you take too long to

give me another spoon... then I'll let you know ALL ABOUT IT!

The World according to Valkenburg

As if Facebook, gmail and hotseminakedswedishblondes.com weren't taking up enough of my time, now I'm writing a blog!

Oh well - it just goes to show - any idiot can write a blog.
