April #7 - the last of the summer sun?

A few bits and bobs to get us going with this post...

Every night before we put the alarm on, we check to see where the cat is - is she inside or outside. All the windows are closed, she must be inside... where...
She's been found before in Cath's cupboard, in the baby cot, in the baby carrycot and this time... behind the CD player in a little nookie. Took us ages to find her! Sneaky cat!

This was little Emma, asleep on mom's bed. She wanted up, so we lifted her up, and then she passed out.

Spot the difference: Now you see it, now you don't. Seen it? It's the hair dumbass - it's all gone! Cath wanted a change so... snip, snip.

Oh, news: Malcolm's a daddy! (and Marianne is a mommy)

Get together fondue at the V house.

Get together picnic at the V house.
Forgot to take photos while people were still here.

We inherited the Wendy house from my parents... sio here it sits in our garden, needing to be put back together once I've bought the wood to replace the rotten stuff.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With fears that winter was on the way, we got Emma in her (Emma snr bought) swimming costume and filled up the pool. Well, the baby pool that is.

She's still fascinated by water... and mom's new funky hairstyle.

IN the pool Emma. You're supposed to play IN the pool!

That little bum, oh it's so irresistable!

Mom was enjoying the sun too.

April #6 - Youth Club parents eve

I decided the parents of the Youth club members might like to see what goes on at Youth, so I invited them round for an eveining with the youth.

We played bum volleyball, had a how well do you know your parent / child quiz and them got down to some skits....

"My parents don't listen to me!"

Meags found it amusing.

Angus, with pants around his knees, mxited and blamed his parents for everything.

Then it was time for pass the ball using just your neck races.
Yep, that's my dad in the last photo.

All in all, a good evening.

April #5 - bathtime and lil Louis' birthday party

It was little Luois' birthday so Jan asked us if we'd host it, to make it a bit of a surprise. Oh course we we up for that - although I needed a few headache pills.
Actually, the night before I'd had a few drinks with Rory and Ian who had come round for some games and whiskey. And i got a tummy bug the next morning, so Cath handled everything and I just popped out every now and again, between toilet visits and bed.
I called in sick later (saturday work) cos I was in no shape...

But lil Louis was enjoying himself with his Pooh cake, made by mom.
I didn't get any though. Mom wrapped it up and shipped it off. Why I oughta.....

We weren't short of stuff to eat...

As I mentioned in an earlier post, these two aren't used
to dogs and were scared at first... but look at em now!

Bathtime photos!

I've gone to extra effort to ensure these photos don't have any Alan or catherine bits showing after Cath emailed Madz photos of Emma in the bath with me without carefully checking the photos first. Oops. Blind one.

Happy baby, happy mom. My two hot chicks.

Wanting a bath!

Oh dear, someone looks a little tired. Mom will cheer you up.

Emma has taken a great liking to dropping things. She sits in her high chair and just lets food go over the side, then watches it from above fascinated. She does the same in the bath, dropping the shampoo and bath salts over the side...

Now aint that cute?

April #4 - tray of yoghurt

Merrily eating away, little Emma munches on a mango stick.
But what makes us smile at this is her feet - they are always crossed when she eats, as if she takes comfort from them touching.

The great explorer peers around the corner.
What delights lie in this room?
What can I destroy today?

The main bathroom is where we leave the cat food and water, so lil Emma is kept out.
She looks a bit like a prisoner though.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This was Cath's doing. In an effort to get Emma to experience new tastes, sounds, touches, etc, Cath gave her a tray of yoghurt to play in. Knowing it would make a mess, we wisely organised the game for outside.

And she loved it.

She covered herself.

Only after a good 10 minutes did she realise the stuff was edible. She was busy sitting it it, sliding her hands and feet around and just having a ball, her hunger was temporarily forgotten.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We went for a walk in the neighbourhood - to get to see a bit more of the place - and were even happier with where we've bought. What a cool area. This was about a 10 minute walk from our place. The dogs loved the fields and the little river. Emma seemed quite content too - but she always is at walk time.

We saw this big chap on our walk home. That must be the tallest dog in the world!

As if Facebook, gmail and hotseminakedswedishblondes.com weren't taking up enough of my time, now I'm writing a blog!

Oh well - it just goes to show - any idiot can write a blog.
