September weather review

This straight off the Irish Examiner (for all your news needs - as long as you're only interested in Gaelic sport that's only played in Munster).

"MOST of the country suffered the coldest September in 14 years. In its monthly summary, Met Eireann (the weather bureau) said the temperature never rose above 20°Celsius anywhere — the first such occurrence in more than 30 years.

The summer washout seeped into the first half of September, with Dublin stations recording their usual monthly level of rainfall within the first six days.
This also brought the stations' annual totals for 2008 above the amount normally recorded in a full year."

So Capetonians - if you were annoyed at your kak weather - remember - you're in winter - it is supposed to rain. This was the Irish summer!!!!!!

Oddly enough, despite what that report says, the last week of September was actually the most sunny of the year. I even went for a few cycles and tried tanning on one accasion - before the sun went behind a cloud and my toes turned blue and fell off.

And now it's just gonna get worse.... I WANNA GO HOME!!!!!
