Courtesy of a bit of help i gave Louise, editing her thesis a few years ago, she owed Cath and I a trip to her dad's game farm up in Thabazimbi in the Northern Province/Limpopo region of SA.
It's a great place, we've been once before and had the time of our life...

Our cottage...
The view from the main cottage...
Complete with hi-powered binoculars to view the waterhole below...
The waterhole below...well, a bit of it.
Our transport while on the farm.
Soon after arriving, we spotted this fella...
And look carefully now... animal spotting can be tough...
Emma really enjoyed herself, and was most interested and very well behaved...
One day, mom taught her to draw in the sand...
and roll around in it...
but most of the time we just drove around looking for animals.
Werner goes looking for something or other.
The girls, safe in the buffel.
Leopard tracks!
More animals, wathog and Waterbuck.
We even saw a crocodile... at least we thaught we did, but after much inspection, it was a fake!
Handbags and shoes for everyone!
There were some good sunsets while we were there
A pair of impala fight for dominance. A chick probably. It's always over a chick.
Emma was fascinated, needed a closer look.
We got to enjoy a sunset on our own night drive once, got a bit chilly but was cool in not just that way.
Early morning drives meant we had to keep little one well wrapped up.
always plenty to see... if not animals, then bugs, and trees, etc.
and sometimes a walk out and about...
tracks!
Big ones!
Back at the family house.
It's warmer here... time for a lie-down!
