November - trip to Sedgefield 3

On the road again, we're on the road again... this time, on the way home. We took a wrong turn and ended up on this mountain pass... twas a bit like Ireland - the ring of Kerry, but without the rain.

We were looking for a strawberry farm, and we eventually found it just outside George... I was able to put my years of professional berry-picking experience to good use and show the two girls the art of berry picking, which ones are sweet, etc. Skills like that, you can'y just buy, you know?

My favourite berry...

Then on to the fairy sanctuary, which I'd read about in a travel mag - basically a couple of nutters have turned their house and garden into a haven for all fairy statues and memorabilia... twas a bit freaky at times... but Emma loved it, and that's all that counts.

And last but not least, I'd always wanted to visit the southern-most tip of Africa - I may have done it when I was a tot for all I know... but I couldn't remember, so off we went.

And so now, we have the photos to prove it. We were there!

One last parting shot, on our way out, we spotted this lil fella in the road, which we showed to Emma. We told her to touch it, and she refused. She was acting kinda silly about it - although he was wriggling about like a fish out of water - so I took her hand and put it on his shell. I have never heard her scream so loud. Won't be doing that again in a hurry.

The World according to Valkenburg

As if Facebook, gmail and hotseminakedswedishblondes.com weren't taking up enough of my time, now I'm writing a blog!

Oh well - it just goes to show - any idiot can write a blog.
