What used to be a massive forest of pine trees is now a field after they were all cut down recently. Turns out it was a plantation, and the plan was always to cut em down for the wood. But losing the forest was a big bummer.
Still, they were aliens, so they were soaking up the water. We made our way to what Cath and I now call 'Tokai Field' to give the girls a chance to play in the stream...

We raced leaf boats, made mudpies, got wet, ate some mud (the last one was Chloe, could you tell?)
Yay! I love this. Brrr... that's a bit chilly.
