What a cutie-pie!

Dad tries anything to get lil Emma to stop crying - even a walk around the front garden parking lot.

Now listen here... BE QUIET!

Cath has a moms and tots group that she goes to... well, a group of friends all with babies. And thet thought it would be cute to do this when they were at our house... Amazingly, not one of them performed while this photie was being taken.

Thanks Kate for the photos.

Tummy time.

I think this one here (above) is my
favourite photo of lil Emma - when she smiles I melt.

And this one, taken at bath time, is Cath's favourite.

I love dew, hey.

Dad enjoys a moment with the little one. love that shirt.

Getting those nsty post-feeding burps out.

Emma attacked by a lobster!

It wasn't even at the beach, but our little angel was attacked by a vicious lobster. And I hate to say it, but Courtney is at fault for this attack.

It was her that gave us the crayfish - a gift all the way from Cape Cod, I believe.

It has me by the neck dad. Get it! GET IT!

In the end, I think Emma bit it more than it bit her!

Youth Club stay awake

STAY AWAKE. I 'All-cap' those words because it seems the meaning was perhaps not clear to many of the youth... who fell asleep.

Trev and Aimee

Taryn

Christelle does the dishes. Atta-girl.

The girls just looooved Rudi. Clearly desperate for boys at the club.

Sharing a laff.

More sleepers

What? I don't ask anymore.

Meags poses.

Christine.

Too much for me - I need my sleep. Anyhoo, we made about R1,500 on the eve.

Hockey, a gatsby and a four-year anniversary

So the hockey photos didn't come out cos the match was at night and there wasn't enogh light. But I'll put up some photies anyway.

This was Emma Snr playing for UCT - against Pinelands I think. She kicked ass!

These photos are blurred cos Emma is so quick.

Emma watches things from the back.

Our four-year anniversary. We went out to Madeira - no not the island - i'm cheap - I just took Cath out for a meal. Mmmm.

This is Emma's colic position, that is, the position that relieves Emma's colic. She'll be crying like crazy and then go quiet the moment we put her like this. Of course, everyone else knows better so they look at us like we're crazy when we hold her like this but hey, one thing you learn quickly as a new parent is: If standing on one leg with your arm in the air and your bum stuck out makes the baby stop crying... you do it.
Gatsby time.

Another South Africanism - I think. Our first gatsby since we got back home. I nearly put Emma on the roll cos I was still quite hungry. Shame man, she's gatsby-sized.

Sleeping baby

These were taken over the fence at our St Catherine's Rd house... the neighbours got a new puppy and we couldn't resist taking a peek... and Oh so cute!

Nala, alas, also no more, guards Emma while

mom and dad do some weeding or other important stuff.

Sometimes you just have to try and grab a bit of sleep - whether the baby cares or not.

Emma generally refuses to lie down on Cath. But this time I think she allowed Cath a few minutes of bonding time.

I know a photo doesn't do this .......... but this is how Emma sleeps. No she isn't moving, her hands stay like that while she sleeps. I think she's dreaming of the paparazzi - "No photos, please, no photos".

I said NO PHOTOS!

The World according to Valkenburg

As if Facebook, gmail and hotseminakedswedishblondes.com weren't taking up enough of my time, now I'm writing a blog!

Oh well - it just goes to show - any idiot can write a blog.
