November - trip to Sedgefield 2

There was also a cool kiddy play area right at the lagoon. Which we frequented.

How cool is this photo? Pure joy!

There's also a massive forest in Knysna - where elephants used to live. Telling Emma that she might see an elephant resulted in her yelling "ELEFANTEE!" every three minutes for the durantion of our hike.

Pit stop!

We had our choice of a few pools - but Emma really enjoyed this one...

Checking out mom's ass...

More hide and seek with daddy.

What readers may find amusing is that there was this awesome double bed upstairs and a fold out couch downstairs... guess who got the bed...? Yep. Her highness.

Teddy nutrition is important too.

View from our place...

Chillin in our kitchen...

And another day on the pedal boats - and off it.

Although Emma didn't like the lagoon so much.

More seesaws. Both my girls.

The other pool.

And on the road again...

November - trip to Sedgefield 1

So Cath Emma and I embarked on a road trip - of about 800kms all round To Sedgefield near Knysna. Foreigners - look it up! In a car. Did I mention we took the two-year old with us. Yes, it was an interesting experience - and oddly enough, one I'd be willing to repeat.

Emma had Teddy to keep her company - and top right, we played some hide n seek too to pass the time.

Maybe when it's your own country you don't realise how beautiful a place is, but South Africa is really stunning.

Emma choosing some music.

First rest stop for lunch at the side of the road. Emma's seat = the coolerbox.

This was a slight detour along the way - at a place called... Groot Brak

Big dam. Pretty.

Catherine. Pregnant. Also pretty.

Once in Knysna - the local big town - we took a drive to do a bit of sightseeing. Our GPS directed us here, quite by accident. The weather was crap but the view was stunning.

Then at the holiday house, Emma did a bit of drawing. I drew the boxes and she coloured in.
We were so proud we had to take a photo - look at this colouring in - so neat and she's only 2! A Genius I tell you! (How did we turn into those proud parents we all say we'll never be?)

Watchin a bit of telly...

There was a trampoline just outside our door. But Emma, despite wanting to be on it non-stop - refused to jump by herself. Her plaster from her broken leg had only just come off and she was refusing to walk yet.
So dad did the jumping.

And there were some African seesaws too.

But one of the main reasons we wanted to come to this place was the pedal boats - and we went on them pretty much every morning. Emma loved them!

Captain Emma at the helm!

As if Facebook, gmail and hotseminakedswedishblondes.com weren't taking up enough of my time, now I'm writing a blog!

Oh well - it just goes to show - any idiot can write a blog.
