Michael McIntyre, picnic @ the ducks and a barndance

Yes, we forked out and went to see the man I regard as the funniest comedian of the last few years, Michael McIntyre.

An Emma, David, Cath and I selfie.

Cheap seats were R400.

And then there was a picnic by the ducks...

My kids DO love their food.

Oh, and we went to a church fundraisy barn dance. Ian and Carly joined us… and it was FUN.
(even if those two aren't quite as co-ordinated as us ;) ).

Apr - Life's a drag... and a trip to the mall

As you can see, Chloe started off not so sure about this drag up the passage in a crate thing… but was soon begging for more.

And Emma chipped in with a push or two of her own… on condition she got to be pushed too.

Then it was off to the new mall for a squizz around -
and to find the right hair accessory...

A quick play in the R5 bus…

And ending it all off with a bit of frozen yoghurt…
what a nice sister.

Lil Louis bday and Porter's market

Yee-hah! It was little Louis' birthday in April, a cowboys theme...

Jan's cowboy cake.

Chloe was impressed.

Enough party photos, we also took granny Fi to the Porter's Market in April...

Bacon and egg… heaven… and generous portions too!

milkshakes and St James - April 13

So we met up with Aunty at Seapoint Park, which is AWESOME! a whole bunch of new jungle gyms to run around on and exercise and counter some calories so that ....

… we could go to the Fire and Ice and have the yummiest milkshakes ever. The girls really seemed to like theirs.

We were also keen to break away from our usual beaches - Fishhoekand Muizenberg - so we went to St James beach, which in most other countries would be given Blue Flag status and crowded with sun worshippers. For Capetonians though, it's merely adequate. Still, some nice moments, which I tried to capture...

Oh… I just love her lil tummy. I could eat it all up!

A few April bits n bobs

These are a real hodge-podge of photies from April 2013… photos that didn't really have their own folder, but ones that I wanted to include. Above is Chloe playing the drums… she's quite good, really.

This one above is included because I want to show people how I eat. In particular, I want to say "when you consider what I eat and how I look, it is a miracle that my body has not seen me expand to a 200kg monster. If you knew what I snack on each day, you'd probably think the same.

Poor Chloe, her arm still isn't right, so we sent her for a few physio sessions, which meant that physic tape that all the sportsmen like to put all over their bodies. Despite thinking that it's a load of s#$%, Chloe's been added to the fad. But she rocks that tape. My daughter is so cool.

National Braai Day meant we had to cook up a storm. Emma can't even look at the camera she's so hungry…

At our house, the dogs are sometimes desperate for a drive, and we reckon they think they're squirrel-sized (no one has told them they're huge) so this was them trying to stow away when we opened up the door one day.

And this was Emma and Granny Fi sharing a chuckle. Or a snigger. Or a laugh. Or a guffaw (as the case may be).

A few more March photos

Easter 2013 - and boy were the girls excited!

Stoopid bunny though, he went and knocked over the flour, leaving footprints everywhere.
When Emma saw THAT, she yelled "FOOTPRINTS!" and ran around following them. So cute.

Cath was the star who did all the hard work making them.

Chloe looks like something out of a horror film, but that's just her enjoying a choccie egg from granny.

Speaking of Chloe's eating habits, here she is again… this time after feeding herself some chocolate pudding. Or was it butternut?

Chloe and Emma playing dolls. For once, playing sweetly. It won't last...

And this is the 'dining area' I made for puss-puss atop the dog kennel. But she tends to use it as a sleeping area too.

The World according to Valkenburg

As if Facebook, gmail and hotseminakedswedishblondes.com weren't taking up enough of my time, now I'm writing a blog!

Oh well - it just goes to show - any idiot can write a blog.
