Pretty girl!

That's my child model.

And that's my model mom and wife.

A wander around the garden...
I just love that sunhat.

Picnic at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

You sort the food and stuff out moms, we're just gonna lie here for a bit.

Cath and Kate, Emma and Daniel (Emma's boyfriend) went for a picnic to Kirstenbosch and caught some... shade under the trees. Emma is always happy when mom dresses her so nicely.

Emma just loves her sleepingbag!

Aminals and Emma

Emma meets the family pets (some of them)

Ag shame man, she's not quite so sure about big Shadow.
Is he coming over for a sniff or does he plan to eat me?

The cat - now that's better... he's a bit more my size.

Let me give you a bit of a rub and scratch puss-puss.

Kitty doesn't seem to mind in the slightest.

But in addition to cats and dogs, Emma also has a frog, a lobster, a killer whale, a snake, quite a few bears and various other animals to keep her company.

Here a camel and a Springbok keep her happy.

Braai at the castle

Had the fam round for a braai the other day up at the Heany castle...
We had the Grannies and grandpa, the Aunty and Uncle and the two SA cousins.

Oom Louis tends the braai so I can drink more.

Aunty Jan entertains lil Louis with a phone. He got hyper and ran around like a mad thing.

The women talk baby stuff.

These pics are for the overseas SA guys and gals... don't you miss home when you see this...
Just seeing it makes me drool again.

Courts - this is a braai (that we go on and on about).

Oh and then...

I managed to find a picture of the tackle of the year... Schalk Burger tackling Fourie du Preez in the Currie Cup semi-final... enjoy it all over again....

And for those who went to inter-varsity with me...remember me going on about that Maties centre? Paul Bosch. Here he is cracking the Cape Times. Mark him down as a future Springbok. Alan has spoken.

Old McDonald had a farm... Emma hits The Barnyard

We took little Emma for a trip to the Barnyard - a restaurant that has animals walking the grounds - for a bit of a break from the house (actually Cath wanted cake - you can read between the lines huh?)

She was getting a bit antsy so dad took her outside for a walk while Cath stayed inside and stole sips of my hot chocolate. Then she joined us and took a few snaps...

It was a chilly Cape Town day.

First the hens.

Then the geese.

Then the horsey. Sies - his breath stank!

Emma and Emma

Aunty Emma and baby Emma share a moment.

I'm so laid back, I'm horizontal.
---------
We were given a kanga pouch and we bought a baby sling - only for baby Emz to dislike it - a lot (I think it makes her think we're putting her to bed).
But she likes sitting in it looking out at the world.

And if it makes her tired all the better.

What a cutie-pie!

Dad tries anything to get lil Emma to stop crying - even a walk around the front garden parking lot.

Now listen here... BE QUIET!

Cath has a moms and tots group that she goes to... well, a group of friends all with babies. And thet thought it would be cute to do this when they were at our house... Amazingly, not one of them performed while this photie was being taken.

Thanks Kate for the photos.

Tummy time.

I think this one here (above) is my
favourite photo of lil Emma - when she smiles I melt.

And this one, taken at bath time, is Cath's favourite.

I love dew, hey.

Dad enjoys a moment with the little one. love that shirt.

Getting those nsty post-feeding burps out.

The World according to Valkenburg

As if Facebook, gmail and hotseminakedswedishblondes.com weren't taking up enough of my time, now I'm writing a blog!

Oh well - it just goes to show - any idiot can write a blog.
