June - Megan bday

Little Megan (daughter of school/church friend Debbie Gold (nee Purdon) turned two, and Emma got an invite to the party at their new house, which is around where the Old Cape Bistro used to be, just across the road.

I felt quite bad moving Emma off to her lonesome to eat by herself, but the destruction is so much less when it's done this way... so here she sat, polishing off her snackbox.

And she had the jumping castle to herself for a while... but not later.

Debbie had hired a couple of rides, which the kids would take it in turns to annex. Lil Megan just sat on one of the rides for hours! pushing the button to make it go again whenever it stopped. But eventually she skittled off... and then Emma annexed it. She just sat and sat... loving the gentle rocking!

Oh, and the not-so gentle rocking horse too.

Cailey loved it too, so they shared a bit, often sitting side by side...

But soon the party was in full swing and it was a bunny party, so there were ears for everyone!

And cake, of course.

Cailey and Emma get close.

A bit of face painting too

And then a wander in the garden... then dad had to rush off to work...
leaving mom to look after the monster.

June - bits n bobs

Loving my bookshelf in my room.

I made a poo, you put it in here. Where'd it go?

Ahem, a little privacy please!?

Emma is now potty trained, although we still put her in a nappy at night to eliminate those 3am wakings.

I don't think the fascination with the cat will ever leave her... and it's great cos she's learning to be much more gentle (or puss puss runs away).

May - Buddy Bear hits the town

We went to play a bit of putt putt recently - eight guys and a bear.
But the bear disgraced himself, drinking wine before we even got on the course.

Ian had to have a serious chat with Buddy and Steve about their behaviour and attitude...

Later it was Ian punishing Buddy for poor golf ettiquette, placing him on a cactus as a lesson in what he is capable of...

Steve played out from the deep rough, and knocked out Buddy.

Later, the group poses.

Later that weekend, Buddy came to the Youth Group, where he made friends.

And again posed with the group.

It seems he's quite popular... a little TOO popular if you know what I mean...

An extra-martital affair with a bear is still cheating Cath!

The World according to Valkenburg

As if Facebook, gmail and hotseminakedswedishblondes.com weren't taking up enough of my time, now I'm writing a blog!

Oh well - it just goes to show - any idiot can write a blog.
