Mid May to mid June - random pics

When your kids are moody - just add water. Or so they say.
Well it seems to work - they both love their bathtime, and Emma gets to be very helpful, pouring water all over Chloe's face. Okay, that only happened once or twice, she's very caring for her lil sister normally.

Granny and grandpa help feed the lil one in her bouncy chair.

Emma and mom made a lil house for the fairies and put some berries in it for them. They must have been very thankful, because the next day there was a chomp chocolate there for Emma.
Cue "we must do this again" comments.

Our musical child entertains Joseph and fam with a lil ditty of her own I like to call "Break the piano".

Kissing Chloe goodnight, but first... stories

Good book. Our local library has a few good ones.

Oh, by the way, we had a fence put up at our house. It has to sit for a year like this before we paint it though.

It's tiring work, reading this blog.

bits n bobs n cycle with dad 2-18 May

One of Emma's favourite things is going for a ride on the bicycle with me - in her special Emma seat.
It was cold - I made her dress up warmly - complete with tiger gloves.

Sigh. Another feed.

Ag cute lil feet man.

And what's better for cute lil feet than... cute lil booties.

What's NOT cute is this monster spider we had sitting next to our pool for frikkin ages. Everytime we walked past, we got turned into a ninja (everyone becomes a ninja when they run into a spiderweb and get bits of web all over their face).

Back to cute again... Chloe just LOVES Emma, and Emma likes to use Chloe like a yo-yo/slnky - great to play with for a few minutes, then boring. Here she was giving Chloe some kisses, before yanking and shoving her this way and that. Chloe just loves that game.

Hello funny flashy thing that blinds me every time.

Emma's artwork. I think normally a painter would say... "1944 Munich in watercolours on canvas" or something like that. This is "Emma's kohkis on bushman-like belly".

And this one I just LOVE... Emma happily reading aloud to herself. I had to stick the camera round the corner to take this one so as not to disturb her.

Food face!

Mid April: Lil Louis bday and bits n bobs

Cath's boet David was housesitting for some people who live next to horses and have a massive guinea pig.
Emma had to go along...

Big Dave and I. I'm on the left. I can't remember which of the other two is Dave.

Emma helping Chloe in the bath.

A bit of painting, which was SUPPOSED to be on the paper

Emma laying out her books. She's quite big on the organising her books. You might not be able to see, but the photo on the right shows each one of her stuffed animals has it's own book and blanket.

Chloe making friends.

Chloe having a giggle in her sleep.

Little nephew Louis had a pirate party for his fifth (I think) bday party... Emma loves dressing up and here she is as usual with her cousin Dominique... Argh!

Even lil Nico got the pirate scar and headgear.

The boys digging for buried treasure...

And blowing out the candles on the pirate ship cake...

Early April: 2 Oceans, Mart & Co, Easter

I'll be the first to admit that these pics aren't great but I took em at the Two Oceans half marathon which I would have been running but got a cold about a week before. Normally I'd do it despite the cold, but I was (am) so unfit I couldn't risk the strain on my heart so I opted to get up early and support.

My boet, who was here at the time did it in my place and it peesed down with rain and he got soaked.

I can't really remember - it has been almost a year since then - but I think this was my birthday cake from Cath.
Grand Prix track and cars.

Blowing out the candles of my cake? I had lots of helpers, who
I suspect each wanted their own car to munch!

So cool to have all the family rats playing together...Jake and Kiara, Emma and Dominique, Louis and Jessie and Jarrod.

My little princess - gifts from Inge and co?

Emma and Dominique had an absolute ball pushing Emma's pram together. What probably started as a battle to gain control of the pram became a game as they made their way through Kirstenbosch Gardens laughing hysterically. These two are going to be tight friends!

You lookin at me punk!? Well - are ya?
--------------------------

Janet and Louis Snr hosted a family get-together with Mart and Inge and fam and us. Lots of kids. Lots.

It was totally crazy. But hey, the kids had fun.

Hell, we had fun too - it was just non-stop noise and commotion.

Grandpa got a quiet moment though, and got his chance to hold grandchild #6 Nicholas (Chloe is #7). Is that a look of love or what?

Emma and Dominique having fun on the couch.

Aunty Pam was there too - and it was a great opportunity to get a family photo. Just missing Bren, I think. Ag, we can always photoshop him in.
--------

Easter Sunday and an Easter egg hunt - which Emma didn't do too badly in....

To the victor, the spoils.

It was all a bit too much for Chloe though.

As if Facebook, gmail and hotseminakedswedishblondes.com weren't taking up enough of my time, now I'm writing a blog!

Oh well - it just goes to show - any idiot can write a blog.
